Designlab Experience Lights Up The Nights In Diriyah With An Art-Filled Immersive Experience
Diriyah, the birthplace of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is a historic city that celebrates its rich cultural heritage and traditions. What Is Diriyah Nights?
Diriyah Nights was a 40,000 sqm boulevard that transformed the heritage farms of Diriyah into a magical oasis of light, art, and entertainment. The project aimed to create a seamless and harmonious integration of nature, architecture, and culture, using rustic and earthy materials that reflect the local identity and history of Diriyah.
The project consisted of several elements that invited visitors to explore, discover, and enjoy the site:
A sleek wooden tunnel welcomed guests with beams jutting into the sky and partial views of the farm grounds lit by glowing roses.
A series of quaint treehouse structures that were nestled against the palm trunks, offering spaces for family play, dining, and shopping from local brands and retailers.
A wavy burgundy bench that marked the main walkway, connecting the different zones and providing a place to relax and socialize.
A collection of contemporary art installations that were displayed throughout the site, featuring local and international artists and creating a dynamic and interactive visual experience.
A variety of dining venues catered to different tastes and preferences, from casual street food to fine dining restaurants.
A stage that hosted live performances from local and regional talents, showcasing music, dance, comedy, and more.
