From Opera To Comedy: What’s On At Dubai Opera In 2023-2024


Dubai Opera, the iconic cultural destination in the heart of Downtown Dubai, has revealed its full program calendar for 2023-2024, featuring over 40 electric performances from opera and ballet to musicals and drama. The season ahead is nothing short of groundbreaking, as Dubai Opera extends its influence beyond the region to the global stage as an iconic “House of Cultures”.


Here are some highlights of the program and how to book your tickets:


Opera


· Swan Lake: Witness the timeless tale of love and betrayal performed by the Hungarian National Ballet on September 9 and 10. Tickets start from AED 250.

· Madama Butterfly: Experience Puccini’s immortal tragedy of a Japanese geisha and an American naval officer in an enchanting performance by the Hungarian State Opera on September 12 and 13. Tickets start from AED 250.

· Macbeth: Enjoy a modern take on Shakespeare’s masterpiece, presented by ETT, Shakespeare North Playhouse, Northern Stage and Theatres de la Ville de Luxemburg, from November 3 to 5. Tickets start from AED 150.

· The Phantom of the Opera: Don’t miss the return of the world’s most popular musical, featuring spectacular sets, costumes and effects, from February 22 to March 10. Tickets start from AED 250.


Ballet


· The Nutcracker: Celebrate the festive season with Tchaikovsky’s classic ballet, performed by the Russian State Ballet and Orchestra of Siberia, from December 13 to 17. Tickets start from AED 250.

· La Scala Academy’s Ballet School: Witness the talent and grace of the young dancers from one of the most prestigious ballet schools in the world, on February 17 and 18. Tickets start from AED 150.

Musical


· Matilda The Musical: Watch the multi-award-winning musical from the Royal Shakespeare Company, inspired by Roland Dahl’s beloved book, from October 3 to 15. Tickets start from AED 250.


Concert


· David Garrett ICONIC Tour 2023: Listen to the captivating violinist David Garrett as he performs his iconic hits on October 26. Tickets start from AED 195.

· Kenny Garrett – Sounds from the Ancestors: Experience an unforgettable evening of jazz and R&B with one of modern jazz’s most brilliant and influential masters, Kenny Garrett, on October 28.

· A Night with Matteo Bocelli: Enjoy a night music with Matteo Bocelli, the son of Andrea Bocelli, on December 21. Tickets start from AED 195.


Comedy


· Slava Snowshow: Laugh out loud at the hilarious and heartwarming show by Slava Polunin, the world’s most famous clown, from December 8 to 10. Tickets start from AED 195.
