SAUDIA Adds New And Seasonal Destinations To Its Summer 2023 Schedule



Saudia, the national carrier of Saudi Arabia, has announced its operational plan for the summer of 2023, offering more than 7.4 million seats for domestic and international routes during July and August.


The plan represents a 10 percent in seat capacity compared to the same period in 2022, reflecting the growing demand for air travel in the post-pandemic era.


The airline will operate more than 32,400 flights, a 4 percent increase from last year, covering a wide range of destinations across the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America.


For international flights, Saudia is providing more than 4.2 million seats, a 16 percent increase from last year. The airline will also introduce more than 14,800 flights, a 15 percent increase from last year.


Some of the new or seasonal destinations that Saudia will fly to include Athens, Barcelona, Baky, Dubrovnik, Geneva, Malaga, Munich, Nice, Salzburg, and Tbilisi.


On domestic routes, Saudia will offer more than 3.2 million seats through 17,600 flights, connecting the Kingdom's major cities and regions.


The operational plan also includes measures to ensure smooth operations, efficient reservations, and streamlined processes at airports. The airline has implemented comprehensive procedures and prepared the necessary facilities to cope with the expected surge in passenger traffic during the peak season.


Saudia's CEO Captain Ibrahim Koshy said: "We are pleased to announce our operational plan for the summer of 2023, which reflects our commitment to meet the needs and expectations of our guests. We have increased our seat capacity and flight frequency to offer more options and flexibility for travelers. We have also introduced new and seasonal destinations to cater to the diverse preferences and interests of our guests''.
